Summary: This is an AU Babylon 5 fan fiction. An unexpected visit throws Ivanova’s world into turmoil, and she must find her place and purpose in it again. In the process she meets the person she never thought she’d see again, but is their reunion ill-intentioned?

Mars Colony. Susan could count on one hand the number of times that she’d been here. She sat on a ground transport shuttle that was headed from the docking port to the main dome of the capital city. Ivanova looked out of the large window at the surrounding barren land, a network of spider-like tubes stretching out between the different cities. Bester sat across the isle from her, regarding her silently. The woman tried to pretend that she didn’t notice his study of her. She occasionally hazarded a glance in his direction, and found the psi cop’s expression unreadable.

Part One: Lost Yet Found

In the early morning hours, the space station rotated on its axis, many of its occupants not yet risen from their slumber. Such was not the case for Commander Ivanova, who often worked the early shift. This day was no different than any other, or perhaps she pretended that it wasn’t, sitting on her bed to slip on her shoes.
